(The
slab dried on morning of Day 2)
Our
mission effort was through an organization called Casa por Cristo.
We crossed the border into Mexico on Monday and began work.
By the time we finished working Monday night the slab for the house we
would build had been poured. Tuesday
we were busy putting up the walls. Wednesday we worked at completing the roof,
the walls, the electrical, and the stucco.
We presented the family (father, mother, and two children) the house on
Thursday morning.
(Framing
on Day 2)
The
remainder of Thursday was spent getting out of Mexico and back home.
The family for whom we built the house was extremely thankful.
Their joy in the midst of such tremendous poverty was astounding. We want to thank all of the members of New Life In Christ who
made it possible for us to build this house because you contributed the money to
buy the supplies and gave us your support and your prayers.
