Luke 12:6-7

"Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies?
Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed,
the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many
sparrows." (Luke 12:6-7 NIV)

Do you know how many hairs are on your head? God
has graciously given me a head full of thick
hair and I appreciate it, but I wouldn't want to
count them! But, it is so comforting that God
knows us so well, He counts every one of them.
The next time you feel like everyone has
"forgotten" you, remember that our Loving God
never forgets you.

As you notice a flock of sparrows flying overhead,
remember your worth in God's Eyes. Don't be afraid,
Child of God. Even though it feels like nothing in
your life makes sense, God sees you and knows you
intimately. He knows we are "but dust" and are
frightened so easily. He longs to calm, console
and comfort us. Will you let Him comfort you today?
Through a verse in Scripture, or a godly friend,
or a song on the radio?

Our All-knowing God of the universe is the same
One Who lives in our hearts and knows us so well,
Who sent His Son to die in our place, taking the
penalty for our sins upon Himself.

LORD God, help us to not forget Your great and
awesome Love for us. Thank you for giving us
extreme worth, even though we don't deserve it.
When we are afraid, thank You for always being
there to comfort us.
